I got chastised at the DeYoung in SF when photographing my daughter in  
front of a sculpture.  they claim it violates the artist's  
intellectual property rights.

Try photographing the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.  They will yell  
at you in five languages.  Italian, English, French, German and  
Spanish, IIRC.   ;- )
