Subject: [Leica] Is Lightroom 2.0 Really Shipping?

Why is not using Photoshop a trap, Mark? If my RAW image is well
exposed it needs only minor adjustments to exposure and contrast, some
cropping and some sharpening. Why do I need to use Photoshop for that?
I do not clone out power lines. I do not make objects fly. I do not
stitch images to create panoramas. I do just a few simple things which
are completely analogous to what I did when I had an enlarger in a
darkroom. For that, Lightroom is perfect and you do not need Photoshop.

And you do not need any books either. I have stopped buying computer
books altogether. There are free resources on the Adobe web site and
elsewhere on the web that are more than adequate when I have a question.
