Some of you may know the story behind this image. For those of you
who don't I'll put you in the picture , as it were. :-) Last month my
wife Judy went in to have her left knee replaced. It should have been
a routine procedure, but it wasn't. The surgeon accidentally cut the
arteries and the veins in the back of her knee which supply blood to
the lower leg and foot. She was on the operating table for nine
hours. They had to send to Georgetown University for a Vascular
Surgeon to repair the damage. She lost seven units of blood in the
process. She was lucky. There is no permanent damage done. Many
people were kind enough to send her flowers. My mind was not really
on my viewfinder, but I was able to photograph some of the get well
gifts sent to her by friends and family. This is the first of the
three which I was able to shoot. It is a live miniature Azalea which
is now in her garden. I thought that I would post these pictures over
the next few weeks as a thank you for people's kindness and in
gratitude that I still have a wife.
