Subject: [Leica] Power2000 batteries for M8

Hello,

I'm a long time lurker, occasional poster to this list.

A couple of weeks ago I left my M8 charger in a motel room. Tried to
get it back a few days later, with no luck. Fortunately, I found a
non-excessively priced one at KEH. While ordering, I also saw a used
third party battery for $3, so I threw it in the cart, thinking that
in the worst case I'd have an M8 battery enclosure to play with.

Now, the battery is a "Power2000" Li-ion battery. What is strange is
that it says "7.2V", which is not the voltage specified for M8
batteries...

I found what seems to be the same battery here:

Has anyone used these? I'll check the voltage before trying it in my
M8 I guess, but I'm surprised that they are so hard to google for.

Thanks,

j
