Doug, yup, no cyan corners to worry about with about a 530mm equivalent
here! In any case George's photo is a crop.
No lens detection possible with a Visoflex either! Nor anything in the shot
likely to show visible IR effects.
Back on the more important part, the subject, George has made a lovely quiet
shot that would have been impossible without his creative adaptation. Cool! 
Not as cool as gullzilla however ;-)

I thought that the IR filter helps regardless of the focal length, it's the
lens detection / cyan corner fix that's irrelevant for long lenses on the
M8.  I don't see much polyester on these ducks & geese so it's all a moot
point.
