Like children, I think most "wildlife" is best viewed from their level: I 
recently found it hard to bend on one knee and so I bought those knee pads 
carpet layers and painters use: they are fantastic, and keep the snow off 
your pants as well. Of course you look a bit silly going for a forest walk 
in knee pads ;-)

Starting off the new year right, we went for a walk.  One of the 
locals was seen and although he did not seem to like us he did not 
complain much at being photographed.
