I can only compare with echidnas as we have not encountered porcupines. When 
I finally looked at the larger image, the facial detail could be brought out 
more with a gentle dodging "brush" and would help with orientation. I love 
the "curve"

Ditto that, the knee pads can be very handy.  However Lee's porcupine (a 
rodent, BTW) photo w/o the use of knee pads runs circles around my porcupine 
photos, which I have not and will not post ;-)
