Subject: [Leica] French girl near a blackboard...

A 50mm lens ALWAYS has the same DOF. Using it on a Minox, an 11x14 camera
or something inbetween.

DOF is determined by the FL, not the sensor format.

Other solution to the busy issue..... retire. Then you can do this all
day long.

Steve, I would love to have seen French [woman] near blackboard shot at
f/5,6, if possible. To see the difference in contrast/sharpness. Wide open
the DR's contrast is noticeably softer than curent Leica lenses; at 4 and
5,6 there is very little difference. Also interesting in this imge is the
effective focal length of the 50 Summicron - 70mm - but with the depth of
field/focus of a 70mm., to be exact, 69.2mm

I may have to begin LUGging by digest; finding it difficult to deal with
150-200 emails a day :-( while still practicing law and other things!

:-)
