Yup, F4 and close would do that to you......

Have you tried it out in bright sun and sharp contrast lines, like on a 
building for example?  Is the texture too soft to "do the job"?

Makes you wonder if all the ASPH, APO, and otherwise moderns lens designs 
are maybe too much of a good thing.....

Thanks.  I was pretty close and shooting at f4.  Yes, I really am happy with
what I'm getting with this lens.
