Made in Hong Kong used to be the name on almost anything shoddy sold in
the UK from the 1960's on.

But copying and "faking" started a lot earlier in the UK.

The region known as the Potteries, or 5 Towns, in the English Midlands
includes smaller towns named Dresden and Delft and used to manufacture
china and pottery labeled "Made in Dresden" or "Made in Delft",
Delftware is still being manufactured today and was first nade by
Wedgewood and Minton in the 18th and 19th centuries.
