Let's wait and see if the Hornby Group jump in to rescue them - they did 
the same for the originators of plastic construction kits - Airfix. As 
well as taking over Humbrol, Scalextric, Corgi and Bassett-Lowke, and a 
couple of tinier independents like JB Models.

Apparently the management replacement at M?rklin didn't quite work out 
as planned - in fact the company has many parallels to Leica. Production 
per unit is often higher than the RRP reminiscent of the SL2.
