History truly does repeat itself.

Seems we "educated", "civilized" Westerners just don't get it.

Bomb the hell out of 'em then go back to watching Reality TV.  How  
Orwellian.

Create more mischief than we set out to correct.

I certainly saw this a a young US Marine Sergeant back in the early  
60's.

Hopefully there will be a new generation of Greg Mortensons, dtermined  
men and women who will continue to slowly, painfully, patiently  
continue the work in the high county of Central Asia and elsewhere  
around the world.

Right now the Madressas continue to turn out tens of thousands of  
disposessed, disillusioned young men who can only hope to die as a  
martyr.

It's all they have known and all they now know.

Hopefully those shops iny the Khyber will be someday repairing laptops  
or making kitchen utensils.

But I wonder...
