My theory which I often express on the LUG on the noise-camera thing is that
its not NOISE which makes our subjects aware of us its the movement of the
automatic lens OPENING AND CLOSING.

We live in a noisy world and there is guaranteed lots of noise in a concert.
That's why they call it a concert.
So just don't shoot during the viola solo.

Most people have ear plugs on all the time anyway.

Getting around not being surreptitious is to shoot your DSLR or SLR wide
open. They don't see anything opening and closing.

Or us a Leica M.
The lenses automatically don't do anything. They don't open and close.
They stay the same.

So shooting with a Leica M is always going to be a more surreptitious way of
doing photography than many others. Even M's which make a bit more noise
than M's.
Does anyone notice that a Leica screw mount makes at least twice the noise
of an M?
NO!
Does anyone care? No!

I've shot intimate occasions with CLICK AND CLACK and nobodies talked back!

Try shooting something with a metal munching Hasselblad ELM!
