no doubt having a "real" birder nearby
makes it a lot easier than the books.

on numerous occasions
I've presented my photos of birds,
along with my 3 books,
to family and friends;
only to find
that no two (non birder) people
will agree on which specimen in the books
look like my photograph
(unless an utterly common species).
