A rangefinder is not normally a good candidate for macro work, and that
said, I do most of my flowers now with an M8, and before, with an M6 and
M7.

My most used lens is the 35mm Summicron, and I usually get to the closest
focus point, then move in or out until the rangefinder indicates focus, then
snap.

It takes considerable cropping, but it seems to work for me. In the past
I've used with varying success all manners of macro stuff, but flowers seem
to enjoy the 35mm.
