I created a "copy set up"

Camera on tripod with visoflex and lens mounted
Using a piece of graph paper with suitable grid as the subject.

after exposing one frame
I was able to mark precisely on the grid
the area which the M8 captured

then viewing that marked area
on the visoflex ground glass
I taped off
that marked section of the grid
using red transparent litho (stripping) tape

the transparent red tape
works nicely and allows one to view
what is outside the frame
