Subject: [Leica] Don's PAW week 13

This week will be a little bifurcated. I had intended to show the people
and places in a small village (town) within Atlanta. Like most cities
Atlanta has engulfed and devoured many smaller villages that used to be way
out in the country. The SMSA for Atlanta is I believe 12 counties. Anyway,
I have been traveling through the fringes of Norcross for several years
without realizing that there was a wonderful Victorian village just across
the tracks. So, first up is a typical house on a street two blocks from the
mail line.

Norcross was founded approximately 1803 and really started growing just
after the war of Northern Aggression about 1870. The next image is of some
of the detail of the wood work on these Victorians. The paint is probably
wrong as typically the details would have been painted in contrasting
colors.

You don't see any people as they did not cooperate. There is however a very
good authentic Irish bar just one street over so if anyone has a day or so
in Atlanta....

I spent some time this week photographing azalea's. This time I was using
an old Canon 135 on a Visoflex III and my M8. Three images to follow.

The flowers this year seem to be very content with life; blossoms are
numerous and the branches are heavy with them. However, my oldest plants
are refusing to come into bloom. Almost as if they know that a hard freeze
is predicted for Tuesday.

Live lightly, enjoy the spirits, and remember to tip the bartender well.
