Subject: [Leica] wtb/wtt Bay II lens cap for a Bay II lens cap for the 3.5F

Vick,

After losing several Rollei lens caps I now use filters to protect the
taking lens.

I lost the caps because I wasn't too careful with them. I bought several
from a little camera shop in Topeka, KS years ago. The place, for some
reason, had boxes of Rolleiflex odds and ends at ridiculously low
prices, as well as some Leica gear.

Not many years ago most towns of any size had at least one decent camera
store. When I traveled on business I always looked forward to browsing.
You never knew what you might find. I miss that today.

BTW, after I lost the last Rollei cap I realized I should have been more
careful. :-(

Life isn't easy - not all Bay II lens caps are the same.

I just bought a Bay II lens cap, for a Rollei TLR and it doesn't fit my
3.5F. It seems that the centerline distance of the lens cap is not the
same as the centerline distance of the 3.5F.

If some sympathetic soul out there needs my lens cap, and has the proper

Rollei 3.5F lens cap, please let me know. I'd be happy to swap.

Oh, so what does my lens cap fit? Rolleicord? Rolleimagic?

...Vick
