There are precedents of Leica finding that production items are more expensive to produce in any quantity than expected. Hope it doesn't go the same way as the 35-70mm f2.8 R, which disappeared almost as soon as it appeared, or the tri-elmar, 35mm f1.4 aspherical, 50mm f1.2 aspherical........
