Adjusting the RF is a reasonably easy adjustment fix, that usually does not
require opening up the camera.

Replacing the RF is a major fix, which incidentally will take care of your
RF problems. ( a few hundreds of dollars at least)

Bring it to your local repair guy or gal and ask them if it can be done
quickly..... you may be surprised.....

I have recently discovered that my M6ttl (0.82) does not focus correctly at
infinity. What I see is that in the viewfinder the images do not fully align
at the longest focus distance.
I have my holidays coming up real soon, too short to get it fixed. Now I
wonder if I should expect that to affect all my pictures, or just the ones
focused at longer distance?
Also, if I take it out for repairs, should I make sure it is send off to
Solms, or will any decent camera mechanic be able to get it absolutely right
again.
And, while we are at it, should this be the moment to consider the MP
viewfinder upgrade? What would that set me back proximately?
