Subject: [Leica] OT: buying a Windows laptop for my son

I don't think my last desktop (Dell) had Windows backup disks. There  
might be an option to make your own backups from the pre-installed  
software (now that just about all CD/DVD are read/write.

Vista is not great. And I went through 4 Dell motherboards in the  
first two months before I threw in the towel and bought a Mac. Love  
the Mac.
