for sure frank epson make gold and it is called ink. i went from a 2200 to a
3800 precisely because of the ink costs. the 2880 and 2200 use about the
same ink size cartridges of 11~12 mil at a cost of 10 or more. if you decide
to get the epson 3800, i also have the profiles for costco glossy paper. and
if you don't use qimage for printing do your self a favor and get this
program (40~80 usd) and you will never go back. this qimage printing program
is the primary reason i use a pc and not a mac
