Yes, Well taken, Doug, the V Hassy digital would be clunky on a few accounts
but they always have been but I've been focusing those cameras for 30 years
and looking down at the groundglass and cranking away and I rock and roll
with the setup.
I don't need auto focus.
I AM auto focus.
More than half the bulk of my better work has always been done with
Hasselblad. Its the glass, its the polaroids, its the square format. Its the
fact that its this cube made it Sweden which seems to make people rise to
the occasion and gets their respect. I'd not dream of shooting a wedding
with anything else. I'd use it to shoot occasions add agencies would hire me
to shoot as well. And magazine work of course. And the tree in my back yard.

When digital hit I thought my Hassy's would be the first to put that
technology to work as all you need to do is slip on a digital back.
But then the price issue showed itself. And all the wedding photographers
sell theirs for peanuts. And I bought a Nikon D100.
Full frame digital was said to be as good as medium format film or digital
but that's flimflam.

I have a feeling the print I could make 11x14 through 17x22 from a Hassy V
digital setup would blow away any 24x36mm digital format in all areas but
the handling you can get from a 35mm type camera.
Its a 1.5x crop circle a number I'm well used to.
36.7 x 36.7mm

To me this is the math:

36.7 * 36.7 = 1346.89
24 * 36 = 864
1346.89 / 864 = 1.55

Also
16.6 million pixels
Color Depth48-Bit RGB

And the use of a tethered camera with the guy with the big screen and so on.
