Because I broke two of them, and I can;t afford another $100 hood!! I never understand people who complains about built-on hood. I am cheapskate and I would rather have a builtin that is relatively sturdy and always there anytime. Heck, I front rim of the 35'lux is slightly dented. It's my most used lens.
