Subject: [Leica] Question on 50 Summilux.....and the M8 filters

If you have a 50 pre-asph Summilux, use the "standard" 12586 hood.....

Will the B+W filter ( 486 UV/IR) size E43, allow you to use the hood over
the filter....??? I tried a regular common Leica UV filter, and found that
the hood would not fit over the filter, and lock itself to the lens, like it
should.... Is the solution a Leica E43 UV/IR Filter? Would that fit?

Alternative.... the 12586 comes apart for putting a filter in there.....
What size filter fits in the hood ? E46? E49? E-something-else?
