So long as I can keep the batteries going for my two DMR's, whether original
batteries or rebuilt, I'll be very happy. And since someone posted here that
the batteries are likely to be renewable well after the original
manufactured set is long gone, I think I'll be with my R8's for many, many
years. At least until I can move up to the S2. Then I'll look back on the
R8's as a bygone era.

Yup, in about a year.. and Leica at one time promised an R10, too.
Meanwhile I'll try to get all the latent photos that I know are still in the
DMR.
