Subject: [Leica] Disappearance of Elmarit-M 2.8/90

Anyone know the reasoning why Leica discontinued the Elmarit-M 2.8/90 lens?
  I thought it had all the features I like (built in lens hood, compact,
silver version etc. ). I definitely want to buy one down the road.

I downloaded the new M9/MP/M7 brochure. (

column).    Very nice reportage from Cuba.  Stunning images (hope they were
actually taken with the advertised cameras...)
