Subject: [Leica] a new Tri-Elmar soon

Is there a problem with using the IR filter on film? B&H recommend these
filters generally to bandwidth limit the light getting to the film too,
which may give improvements with non-apo lenses.
I have not tried it myself.

I have found traveling with the two Tri-Elmars to be an efficient way of
having a variety of lenses at hand with a minimum of weight. I usually
bring two cameras--one film, one digital. If I swop lenses, it's between the
cameras. I have to futz with the filters, though. The M9 removes that hassle.
