Like the Greek soldiers and was impressed by the heightened overview you get from one of those tall cruise ships. Mind you, I was surprised by the rise in price of admission to Monaco's Casino as I think it used to cost about 50 francs or equiv 8 euro when I went there in the nineties and early noughties. That said, I only went in low tourist season January for an annual conference, so it may have been cheaper then. I still remember a very nice gesture I received while staying in Monte Carlo. I hailed a bus at the stop near the hotel and enquired in my excerable French whether he went near the Grand Prix circuit. He said "Non" then asked where I was from. I told him Ireland where Princess Grace had a holiday home. He grinned & said "Hop in" and promptly left his bus route and drove me around as much of the circuit as he could!
