Subject: [Leica] OT: I survived Snow Leopard

Just in case you might have sorta-kinda wanted to know: Rosetta is a
"just in time" translator that allows programs compiled for PowerPC
cpu's to be run on Intel-based systems. The fact that it's an optional
install on Snow Leopard is a gentle hint (along with Snow Leopard not
being available for PowerPC based systems) that support for the old
PowerPC code-base is going away.

Some folks have been having difficulty with Rosetta causing the
software that runs the windowing software on their machines to die or
freeze requiring a restart. I have not experienced this but I don't
use much PowerPC based software at this point.

I do need to re-calibrate my displays though....
