Can't really compare
a Minolta designed lens from the '70's
with an M 24 mm elmarit ASPH

I have the 24 Emarit R
and while a decent performer
it's nothing special.
Rather flat in both highlight and shadow separation.

I don't have the M 24 asph
(wish I did - as it has received rave reviews from all)

You're quite right about the 50 R lux however.
