A flexible removal tool, that is suitable to open jars etc has worked for
me. The kind with an adjustable rubber strap and a handle. (like an oil
filter tool)
Cruder is to catch the filter in a door frame/door, using the door as your
lever. I've done that too. Also opens beers (I heard).
