Subject: [Leica] My wife, the "NASCAR Driver"

Speaking of fender bender, my wife was going up on the 880 last
Monday, when it's lightly raining. She felt the car shimmering badly
and realized she must have a blowout. She managed to get off the exit.
AAA was called and the minivan was towed and I went to pick her up.

I HAVE NEVER seen tire shredded like that. On hindsight, she did a
very good job maintaining control, and all the gods in heaven must be
watching over her.

Here's the right front tire:

Here's what's left with the left tire:

Now one of our friends calls her a NASCAR quality driver.

Another friend is convinced that the Firestone / Bridgestone tires are
at fault. There are a number of cases pending against them. Will need
to do more investigation...
