All it takes is that magical New York Times coverage.

I remember hearing a longtime NY radio guy (I think it was Steve Post) 
talking
about how he was really pleased about the Times having done a piece on him --
and the main reason he thought it was cool was because that made it seem more
likely he might get a Times obituary.
