Color film has fairly wide latitude, may be 1 1/2 stops on each side?
So unless yours is so far off then I will assume the lab could have
done a better job, even if it is doing more "rescue" than for a
perfectly exposed pic, I will ask them to also print so at least you
have some comparison points. It's hard to read a color neg sometimes.
B&W, slides are much easier to read :-)
