[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Hi Philippe, PMFJI but the 4/3 standard includes the capability of software corrections of -all- 4/3 lenses, the extent and exact correction is lens dependant so the information the camera requires is carried in the lens firmware, so you can rest assured that non electronic contact lenses can not be corrected, so the Leica lens files will be completely uncorrected. Not all 4/3 bodies do all the corrections possible within the 4/3 standards though. It seems to me that if a lens can be smaller, lighter or cheaper for similar performance by taking benefit of software for correction of appropriate aberrations then it would be foolish not to exploit this on a new standard lens mount.
