The E43 can NOT easily be adapted for 6 bit coding... the E46 is a cinch. ( Milich can mill out the lens mount, which easily comes off the lens) I thought the E46 was the closer focusing version.... checking on the NET says this is correct....0.7 M So you can have closer focus and no 6 bit coding or vice versa..... There is also a pretty big price difference..... The E46 has always been about 50% more expensive.... Frank Filippone red735i at earthlink.net
