Mark,

M8's are selling regularly and briskly at $2,400 - $2,800
M8.2's are selling regularly and briskly at $3,400 - $4,500
And have been doing so for quite some time
(well before 9/9/09).
Somehow I don't see that as a "plummeting" market.
I see it as holding market share and value extremely well.
In fact far better than C and N bodies when new bodies are released.

The brand new, over the counter, price of a C 5DmkII just dropped $200.

I truly cannot imagine why
you keep dissing small sensors;
while shooting with 1.5 crop factor;
rave about large sensor real estate;
yet don't shoot with a full frame sensor;
and contemplate buying glass dedicated to a small sensor;
diss the M8, with its 1.33 factor (larger than yours),
at every opportunity;
yet never shot with one;
rave about Leica glass;
own the Leica glass;
yet don't use it.

Feels very odd.

George Lottermoser
