This was shot from the new Highway 17 Bypass bridge (unopened) shooting 
upriver.

This is where the Tar River opens from a narrow deep river to a slow moving 
wide river and takes on the name Pamlico.

The top left corner is the Tar coming from the west, and the top right right 
indent is Tranters Creek. A little less than a mile up Tranters is our home.
