an afterthought;

As already stated, mine doesn't snap/click as others might, perhaps ...

yet, I find it such a bonus on (real) macro shots for it gently  
prevents vibrations when I adjust aperture in live view - gentle  
clicks can't have been designed for that back then, can they?
