John I have no idea how you achieve clickable full resolution pop ups, but
that's pretty neat!
May I suggest that the S2, like every digital camera, benefits from some
capture sharpening for the files and optionally some output sharpening
dependant on your purpose there. I can see that there is a plethora of
detail just itching to burst out of there! Small radius (.5) and use detail
and amount for a high frequency image like this.

In my opinion you can effectively disregard and performance variation as you
vary the aperture there (except for DoF) as the optical and
sensor performance is so high. Technique, nailing the focus and exposure
will be bigger factors.
Most important that you post a stack of stuff from your new camera here so
that we can dream and privately drool!
