All four of my wife's grandparents were murdered ca 1941 by the Nazis and/or their Latvian and Lithuanian cohorts. It hit me hardest as my wife and I approached the age at which they were shot next to a trench, and we visited some of the sites at which the murders occurred. http://www.pbase.com/chmoss/2004_07_13_cemetery I repeatedly imagine myself in the same situation, at the same age. It is not fun.
