While I agree the Nikon 105/2.5 is a great lens, I had one many years ago, 
and certainly better than the 90 Elmar C, it does not outperform the 90 
Elmarit R, imho.

Also -- one more thought -- if you have a Nikon adapter already, the lens to
look for, and little more expensive, is the Nikkor 105/2.5.  I tested it the
other day on my G1 against the Elmarit 90 and the Elmar-C 90 (braced against
windowsill, at every aperture, uniform everything else) and the 105/2.5
notably outperformed the other two, especially wide open, but also at every
other stop down to f/16. It's an amazing lens.
