B+H and a local California ( really small) dealer. He got the call today that BOTH his cameras had arrived...... He bought only 1. ( and no, it was not me, and I did not buy the other.....) They ain't as hard to get as they were........ The backlog of camera orders comes from Distributors ( Leica USA for example) and not from you and me, Mr. Consumer. A classic scenario is for the demand to get so pent up that the consumer orders from 2 ( or more) sources, the Dealers order from the Distributor, the Distributor orders from the Manufacturer..... and then..... The Manufacturer starts shipping, the consumer cancels his duplicate, triplicate, etc. orders, and the whole thing collapses...... Now about those discounts and rebates on the M9........just to get rid of excess inventory.......... Frank Filippone red735i at earthlink.net
