While to many of us video on a photo camera seems a useless waste of
resources money weight and whatever else goes into it, they filmed Monday's
final episode of House with a Canon 5d Mk II and there are videographers out
there quite excited about the possibilities of this semi-new 'medium' or new
format. And the multi pixel multi color screens and other features within
an elaborate DSLR menu that the review casually dismisses do in fact
contribute to better photographs. Leica's lack of autofocus is great for the
purists among us but it's idiotic to say that other cameras are wasting your
time with such things. He says this is technologically the best digital full
frame 35mm camera in the world but I hope Canan or Nikon make one that we
can all afford? How does that work? Nikon's best camera costs $8K. And
Nikon and Canon? They don't MAKE rangefinders. Hello.

What's really aggravating about the breezy bullshit of the review is that
the writer of it clearly knows enough about this stuff to not say this
nonsensical crap but he doesn't care: no knowledge will be permitted to come
between him and his typing. He probably didn't even start this largely
content -free piece until about 90 minutes before dealine. That kind fo
critical writing gives writers a bad name.
