I don't like having anything in my pockets.
I always carry a bag: the every day, everywhere, smallest version =
10x5x6"
which handles M8 with extra lens in a pouch,
wallet, checkbook, phone, coin purse, note book, pen, et al.
Further, the M8 mostly lives outside the bag; on the shoulder strap;
or the bag is open for a quick grab.

Under some social circumstances
I understand the ultra-lightweight iPhone/camera,
money clip, credit card and drivers license in the pocket.
Beyond those limited times and places
I don't understand "a camera in the pocket."
For me even the best pocket camera ever made,
the Olympus XA, eventually ended up in a drawer,
and the M6 went back on the shoulder.

The M8 trumps any pocket camera
for size, weight, precision, image quality, and versatility;
and the M9 trumps the M8.

YMMV
