When our house burned to the ground in 1980, the only photos we had were
those we had given to friends and family. Getting out of the house with all
four kids was all I thought about. I even left my purse with all of my
credit cards, driver's license, car keys, etc. on the table by the front
door.

Luckily I had sent many photos to my parents from all of our trips and of
the kids growing up and I still had some boxes of negatives in storage at
their house.
