I took a printing class with John Sexton, and remember him saying that
Ansel would keep famous prints that had some small defect. An
unsuspecting student would show up and ask for a critique - Ansel would
study the print and ask someone to bring him his Moonrise for
comparison. After a little more study he would announce that he would
never print again after seeing the student's work, and rip the Moonrise
to shreds. How great would that be?
