There's "generally speaking," and "specific instance."

Generally speaking, Jayandand is right. Take 1500 random print photos from
top photographers, and I bet the equipments used cannot be differentiated.

However, compare a set of photos taken with the one set of equipment, and
another set of the same subjects etc with a different brand of camera, the
difference may be obvious.
