This is how Salgado works now, but I've not had any firm information
on the way he writes his negs from the digital files.  Maybe film
writers have improved, but I can't see why any manufacturer would be
putting any effort into them.  The ones I tried 5-10 years ago were
terrible.  I've experimented with contact printing inkjet negs and it
works, but it didn't work for enlarging when I tried it.  I still
think that glossy FB silver paper is the nicest surface there is for a
photo to be in.
